Home Alone tells the story of an eight year old boy who is accidentally left at home by his family while going on a Christmas trip to Paris. While his family is trying to get back home to their son, some burglars break into the family home thinking all the members are on a trip. Kevin, who is left at home, comes up with different pranks and tricks to defend his home while also having fun.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is another big Christmas hit. Year after year the Grinch is always mentioned and watched during Christmas time so it would be an insult not to put this movie on the list. There are three different ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’ movies and they all have some differences so you can watch them all. We have the 1966’s ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’. We also have the 2000 version of the movie, as well as the 2018 reproduction. The 1966 version is short and animated, the 2000’s version is a live action movie starring Jim Carrey and the 2018 version is an American computer-animated comedy which shows viewers a more emotional Grinch.

This 2003 film is about a human Elf named Buddy who was accidentally placed in Santa’s sack as a baby and ends up at the North pole. He was raised by the Elves at the North Pole and as years passed by, he became curious about his birth Father. With Santa’s permission, he goes to New York to find his father who has no idea that Buddy was ever born. Follow Buddy on his quest to find this Father and all his experiences in New York.
4. Miracle On 34th Street
Next on our list of the most popular Christmas movies of all time is Miracle On 34th Street, which was originally released in 1947. But we also have a remake of the same film that was released in 1994. The remake holds on to the original which is why a lot of viewers loved it.
The movie is about a young girl and her mother who don’t believe in Santa Claus but when she needs someone to play Santa Claus in her store, she hires Kris Kringle. When Kris claims he is the real Santa Claus, his sanity is questioned and he later gets into a fight which leads to him being admitted into a mental ward. Susan, her mother and a lawyer must help prove that Kris is the real Santa Claus before he is institutionalized forever.
5. It’s a Wonderful Life
Last on our our list of the most popular Christmas movies of all time is It’s a Wonderful Life.It has been nominated for different awards despite being released in 1946, which is an eternity in movie world. The movie tells the story of a businessman who is having suicidal thoughts because he is frustrated. On Christmas Eve, an angel is sent from Heaven to change his heart and show him what life would be like if he didn’t exist.
