David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan are the new DCU’s Superman and Lois Lane

For weeks we’ve been receiving update after update about casting news surrounding Superman: Legacy, and its potential Superman and Lois actors. Well, the day has finally come, and James Gunn has confirmed himself that Superman (Clark Kent) and Lois Lane will be played by David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.

These two have been the favorites to bag the role for weeks now, with James Gunn being very impressed with Rachel’s audition for Lois, and with David Corenswet being the clear front-runner – it was almost never in doubt. The runners-up include Nicholas Hoult, and Tom Brittney for Clark, while Emma Mackey and Phoebe Dynevor for Lois.

It’s been an exciting couple of weeks/months but now the DCU officially has its Superman and beloved Lois Lane. Now, only time will tell how well they both portray these roles, as they will be doing so for many years to come. Now that we’ve gotten the castings for Clark and Lois, we will start to hear more news about other castings for the Superman: Legacy movie and other DCU projects as the months roll on.

Congratulations to both David and Rachel. We can’t wait to see what you do in the DCU.
