David Corenswet, Tom Brittney, and Nicholas Hoult will be taking part in in-person screen tests for the DCU’s new Superman

Now that James Gunn has finished promoting Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 and the movie is doing great at the box office, he now shifts his attention back to the casting of his 2025 “Superman Legacy” movie.

According to an inside source close to the project, an in-person screen test is going to happen soon (next week) involving Tom Brittney, David Corenswet, and Nicholas Hoult. As for Lois Lane, actresses like Phoebe Dynevor, Emma Mackey, and Rachel Brosnahan will also take part in these screen tests. It’s going to be interesting to see who comes out on top for both roles. Looking like the part is just one factor that decides whether you’re picked or not. But being able to actually play the part and embody the character’s essence can get you picked ahead of someone who looks more like the character than you do.

Superman and Lois Lane aren’t the only characters looking to be cast. Characters Like Jimmy Olsen, Krypto, Lex Luthor, and others are still up for grabs. This whole process is exciting but I can’t wait till the official castings start to get announced.
