First Look at Netflix’s Live-action “Avatar: The Last Airbender”

During Netflix’s Tudum event, we got to see the first look at the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender characters. The movie is still in production right now so we couldn’t get an official sneak peek or teaser, but we got to see what they look like

Personally, I think they look great, and I’m looking forward to the series. I have one problem though, Zuko. I haven’t seen him act yet but he just doesn’t look like Zuko. Going off of looks alone, he doesn’t give off the Zuko aura we knew and loved as kids watching the show on Nickelodeon. But I will make my final opinion on him when I see the series.

The series stars Gordon Cormier as Avatar Aang, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Kaiwentiio as Katara, and Ian Ousley as Sokka. General Iroh will be played by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee alongside Daniel Dae Kim who will play Fire Lord Ozai.

The release of the series has been set for 2024, but an official date is yet to be announced. I’m pretty sure we will see the release date in the coming months, alongside a teaser, and/or an official trailer. This is really happening and it’s exciting to watch it all unfold.
