Jackie Chan is back with more comedic action with his new movie, Ride On

I can’t speak for everyone on the planet but I feel like the world can always do with a Jackie Chan movie, and what screams classic Jackie Chan than a movie with a great mix of intense action and comedy like his new Ride On movie?

The official plot for the movie, which was written and directed by Larry Yang, follows a washed-up stuntman Luo, who can barely make ends meet let alone take care of his beloved stunt horse, Red Hare. Luo reluctantly seeks help from his estranged daughter and her lawyer boyfriend when notified that the horse may be auctioned off to cover his debts. Unexpectedly, Luo and Red Hare become an overnight media sensation when their real-life fight with debt collectors goes viral. And Luo gets a second chance to choose between his stunt career and his family.

Now Jackie Chan, without a doubt, is going to put on his best as usual but that horse? I don’t know whether the different scenes and stunts with the horse were done with CGI or if It was a real horse, but whoever is behind it deserves some accolades. That horse is the real MVP. The movie also stars Liu Haocun, Gua Qilin, Joey Yung, Wu Jing, Rongguang Yu, Andy On, Xing Yu, Yueting Lang, Shenyang Xiao, and Ailu Yu.

Ride On also has a relatively long runtime of 2 hours and 6 mins. Ride On will be released on the 7th of April, 2023. Don’t miss out on it.
