Posted by We had been getting rumors for a while that an Avatar movie was in the works and that it was about the characters from The Last Airbender in adulthood. Those rumors were officially confirmed during CinemaCon by Paramount. They are indeed developing the animated movie, and boy is it gonna be an exciting one.
As you can see from the official first look at what Aang, Katara, Toph, Zuko, and Sokka look like as adults. And they look like they could take on the world by themselves (which they technically have). Avatar fans are all for this movie and can’t wait to see how this develops.
I’m specifically curious to see what Zuko and Aang were like as young adults. Although it seemed like Aang was not really the best of fathers to his kids, except Tenzin, we might not be seeing Aang and Katara pregnant or with kids in the movie, and then we might but one thing I know is that Avatar action never disappoints. Hopefully, they do this right and put on a show for us.
We now know that the movie will officially be released on October 10, 2025. It’s a long way out, but if it means giving us a masterpiece of a movie then I’m all for it.
