It was only a matter of time till it happened, and we as fans have been waiting for news on this for a while. The success of “Into The Spider-verse” and the imminent success of “Across The Spider-verse” could only mean more and more Miles Morales. And now, we just might get to see a live-action Miles Morales movie in the future.
I mean, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And that’s the way Marvel seems to be going as far as Miles is concerned. Amy Pascal, the producer of “Spider-man: Across The Spider-verse, seems to tease the development of the live-action Miles Morales movie in an interview with Variety. She says:
“You’ll see all of it. It’s all happening.”
Obviously, things are at a bit of a standstill on a lot of projects across Hollywood with the Writer’s Guild of America strike. So, we might not see the live-action version for a while. Honestly, it might be a few years before we see him in the MCU. And a question that’s going to be on a lot of people’s minds is: Will Shameik Moore play the live-action version of Miles Morales? Or is he too old to fit the role?
Only time will tell, and honestly, we’re not going to get an answer to that anytime soon. But it is pretty exciting, the idea of a live-action Miles would be great for the MCU. Fans all over the world would pour into the cinemas in literal army numbers just to see him if they do it right that is.
For now, we can still enjoy animated Miles when Spider-man: Across The Spider-verse releases on the 2nd of June this Friday.
