New episodes for Season 4 of Titans back this April, and I’ve never seen the series look this good.
Late last year the season Finale was released, and we got introduced to classic Titans’ villians in the form of Mother Mayhem and Brother Blood. Anyone who’s read Titans’ comics and watched some of the animated movies over the years is and was probably as excited as I was to see them brought to life in a live-action version of the despicable pair. And an even more pleasant surprise was finally seeing Joseph Morgan again on the big screen, take up the role of Brother Blood.
In the first half of the season, we got to see Brother Blood’s character develop. How his mother, Mother Mayhem, killed Lex Luthor (which is an insane feat in any universe) and destroyed the Titans in a 1v5? While setting multiple traps for the Titans before turning Conner(Superboy) bad with one of her spells, in the form of a snake. She also stole Raven’s powers and used them to set up the rebirth of her son in the form of Brother Blood.
The mid-season break left us with our mouths open, and craving more when Sebastian finally decided that there was no way the Titans would come out on top against Mother Mayhem, and decided to willingly ascend to his true form, Brother Blood.
Now, a trailer dropped a few days ago giving us a glimpse at what to expect from the second half of the series season finale, and oh boy, does it look great. They weren’t playing around with this one, that’s for sure. The final episodes will see Conner partner up with Brother Blood, the return of Red Hood (Jason Todd), and Mother Mayhem and Brother Blood trying to resurrect Trigon. Unfortunately, it looks like Brother Blood has altered the Titans’ lives and sent them to a different dimension.
The Titans have to figure out a way to get back to their world and stop Brother Blood from bringing Trigon, he and Raven’s father, back to life. I don’t need to remind you of how much trouble he caused in Season 1. The series is coming to an end with the reboot of the DCU, but it’s going out with a bang. The final episodes will be streaming exclusively on HBO Max on the 13th of April.
