Be it new top-tier series, or new season releases of fan favourites, 2023 is stacked with great series that are definitely worth your while. Ranging from action and fantasy to romance and comedy, there’s a little something in here for everyone. Let’s dive right into it.
Outer Banks S3
Since the release of Outer Banks, fans have built an unbreakable bond with John B and the gang, as they embark on different thrilling adventures. Season 3 picks up right where they left off, with the group stranded on an island trying to figure a way out and how to get all of their gold back from Mr. Cameron.
Ginny and Georgia S2
Ginny and Georgia are one of those shows that can’t seem to get anything wrong. You are captivated by every single character and story that is going on in the series, and you never want it to end. They blew us away with Season 1 but Season 2 knocked it right out of the park.
Season 2 follows how Ginny deals with all the information she found out about Georgia and how it affects her and the family at large. Will it crush them or will all the chaos be a means to bring them all together?
The last of Us
The Last of Us is a video game adaptation that follows Joel, a survivor of a global pandemic that rattled the planet, and Ellie, who might be the key to finding a cure for the infectious disease, as they journey through what is left of the US to the fireflies. But their path is filled with infected humans who feed on human flesh.
The Witcher S3
With Henry Cavill’s portrayal of Geralt coming to an end with the release of Season 3, we will see just how bad or how well the show can do without him. For now, the official Season 3 summary reads:
“As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.”
You can tell there are going to be a lot of heart-racing, action-packed scenes in this one, and I’m here for it. I’m sure you are too.
Never have I ever S4
We might not know a lot about what S4 has in store for us, but what we do know is that it will be the final chapter in Devi’s high school rollercoaster life. And one thing you can count on Devi to do is something unexpected and most likely stupid. So, if Season 4 is anything like its predecessors, we are in for more comedy, and, sometimes, awkward romance.
Loki S2
Loki season 1 was like that Christmas gift you didn’t know you needed. It was also our first introduction to Kang the conqueror, albeit short. Now, we know nothing about what Season 2 is about or who Loki is going to go up against next, but when it comes to the god of Mischief, there is always something interesting cooking up.
Bel-Air S2
Bel-Air Season 2 is bringing more thrilling drama surrounding Will and how his actions make or mar him. We will get to see some of the old Philly Will and some more of his father. There are some new additions to the show that include Brooklyn McLinn, Jazyln Martin, and Riele downs. Even Saweetie is going to make a little cameo on the show. So you do not want to miss out on this new season.
Shadow and Bone Season 2
Shadow and Bone, without a doubt, is one of the best fantasy shows to grace our screens. It has everything, from captivating romance to nerve-wracking action. Season 2 will shed light on some new characters and the old ones alike. And I hope we get to see more of Alina and what more she can do with her powers. General Kirigan, on the other hand, is out for blood. Season 2 is going to be so thrilling and exciting to watch, and I’m sure you can’t wait for it either.
If you have not seen Season 1, you most definitely should.
You S4
After Joe Goldberg, a stalker and serial killer gets rejected by his latest love interest, he hides out in old England under the name Jonathan Moore. Season 4 follows Joe as he, yet again, falls for his latest love obsession.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
The success and reception of Bridgerton’s first two seasons have brought about the idea of a sequel, focusing on young Queen Charlotte. And from the looks of it, this one might be a fan favourite too.
From the first look at the series, you can tell that an incredible job was done with the casting, as young Queen Charlotte mimics the same energy and mannerism that her Bridgerton counterpart has. She also has a striking resemblance to her too. The excitement for this one, from the fans, is through the roof because this is a must-watch.
