Top 5 Comedy Series to watch on Netflix 2022

1. Never Have I Ever

Never Have I Ever follows a silly teenage girl, Devi, and how she navigates school and life. She’s quite book-smart but does and makes some of the dumbest decisions you can think of. She considers herself uncool and is constantly looking to be “cool” and “popular”. Oh, did I mention she has been planning to lose her virginity to the most eligible bachelor at school, Paxton Hall-Yoshida, just so she can feel cool like all the other girls who have lost theirs? Yeah, you’re in for a great time with Never Have I Ever. Devi is going to have you screaming at your phone/Tv every now and then but you are going to be hooked on this one.

2. Boo, Bitch!

Boo, Bitch might be a limited series on the platform but it is one you should definitely watch. With lots of laughs, drama, and a compelling storyline, this show deserves a lot more credit than it’s been getting. Erika Vu and her best friend Gia finally get invited to a high school party for the first time. In a bid to make up for lost time surrounding their social lives at school, they decide to go to this party and actually have some fun.

Unfortunately, Erika gets trampled by a moose on their way home and wakes up to realize that she is now a ghost. She thinks that she is still alive because of ” unfinished business”. There is a time limit to how much time she has left to complete this unfinished business and live the life she never lived. But there is a big twist and things are truly not as they seem.

3. The Good Place

Kristen Bell, amongst others, puts on an absolute masterclass with this Dramedy series. Eleanor dies and ends up in a setting in the afterlife popularly known as “the Good Place”. But there is a problem and she has been mistaken for someone else, as she wasn’t really your idea of a ” good person” while she was alive. With the help of her acclaimed soulmate, Chidi, she hides this information for the architect of a Good place and tries to shed the skin of her old life and earn her spot in the good place.

4. Emily in Paris

Emily In Paris has built itself to be a fan favorite, and for good reason. It follows Emily Cooper, an excellent marketing agent who is given a Job with a top firm in Paris, tasked to bring an American point of view to the firm and help it grow. It turns out that the staff does not like her bold, workaholic personality. If she doesn’t find a way to get along with them, she might not be working in Paris long. When she develops feelings for a friend/client’s boyfriend, things start to get interesting. Emily in Paris, as the name indicates, is how she navigates all the challenges that she faces in her newfound workspace and city.

5. BRIDGERTON

Last but definitely not least, Bridgerton. I probably need not introduce Bridgerton, it is probably one of the best, if not the best, romance/comedy shows on Netflix or any other platform if I am being honest. The drama is just so captivating, you could binge it over and over again. The show centers on the Bridgerton family and how they tackle all the challenges that love brings with it. I must warn you if you decide to watch this, prepare for a level of addiction only known to select elite shows. Daphne Bridgerton has just been named by the Queen as the “Diamond” of the season. Meaning she is the most eligible maiden.

The rebellious Duke of Hastings comes to town, he is also known as the most eligible bachelor the moment word spreads that he was in London, but he is also known for his notorious acts by his peers, including Daphne’s older brother, Anthony. Despite not liking each other at first, their feelings begin to grow, and sparks fly. What once started as a ruse to get Daphne a proper suitor turns into an unexpected love match. Will their love reign supreme or will it burn under the challenges and expectations of society, Oh, and Simon’s continuous sabotage? And it gets even spicier with Anthony, Daphne’s older brother, in season 2.
